Honey Bar – South Melbourne Bar

Honey Bar is a bar located at 345 Clarendon Street, South Melbourne. I was there to take part in the Melbourne Writers Club, and was very pleasantly surprised. It has a very modern feel to it, but is extremely comfortable and welcoming during a Melbourne winter.
I ordered the chicken parmigiana, and was almost physically intimadated by its size. It might be hard to tell from the photo, but that piece of meat was almost the size of my head. Because it was so big the chicken in the middle was a little dry, but the chips and salad on the side more than made up for it.
It is a big venue, and they make good use of the space. There’s plenty of seating without feeling crowded for room. After a few dinners feeling like someone’s elbow was in my thigh, it made for a great change. You can find their website here.
