Brickvention 2013
Mmmm, Legolicious. That’s one way to describe Brickvention 2013, an exhibition celebrating the beloved plastic toy that was held over the weekend. There were a few repeated from last year, but not so many that it took away from the show. Here are a few pics of my favourites from the show, but you can check them all out here. More info on Brickvention here.
Also, Harbour Town in Docklands will have Lego Workshops on until this Friday, 10am to 4pm. Details here.

First thing I saw was the Batcave! Love the retro Batwing

The Albert Park protest, now captured in Lego form.

I’m a sucker for large Star Wars models

Star Wars Trench Run, love the detail on this baby.

While I don’t believe George would actually toss Jar Jar to the Sarlaac, it’s nice to dream.

This is the Lego I know and love.

Saw a pic of Elvis up on Brickvention’s Facebook page before heading in. It was enormous!

The next two are connected. Melbourne in loving detail.

An unexpected but amazing model of the Eureka Tower

My favourite part is the helicopter over the shoulder.

Shotgun wedding. The groom is reaching out for a pub just out of shot.

Hobbitses!

Hard to tell, but these little dodgems were hovering around just like a real ride.

A repeat from last year, but hard to argue against having a giant, moving satelite as part of a giant model.

More of the giant multi-part train model

Luna Park and the Docklands Eye, together at last?

Hey Harry, have you noticed anything unusual about the new guy?”

Bit of Lego Aussie Art for you.

Foam mini-figs. I love the Bane figure.
